Counselors for Social Justice at Texas State University

Who We Are

Members of Texas State Counselors for Social Justice are Professional Counseling Program graduate students in the Department of Counseling, Leadership, Adult Education, and School Psychology who share a commitment to justice, equity, and ending oppressive conditions affecting individuals, families, and society.

We are committed to social justice and increasing access to and quality of mental health care for everyone.

What We Do

We meet each month to discuss social justice topics and advocate for causes. Each year, we host a symposium called a Day of Learning that brings together graduate students in counseling, licensed professionals, and members of the community who are interested in social justice and increasing access to counseling and quality of counseling services for members of diverse populations.
